Success on ECO Southern Framework

Sustainable Building Services (UK) recently secured a place on the Alliance Homes ECO Installers Framework. The five year programme will entail an expected total expenditure of over £400 million and it will cover properties in 24 regions of Southern England and South Wales.

A member of the Carbon Savings Alliance (CSA) Alliance Homes is a partnership of over 20 landlords which, collectively, are responsible for the management of over 200,000 homes. The framework agreement will encompass the supply and installation of insulation systems and other energy efficiency measures on appropriate properties funded by the Energy Companies Obligation.

Sustainable Building Services won its place on the strength of its competitiveness and track record. Like all contractors, it was entitled to bid for work in a maximum of three regions and it was ultimately successful in securing all three. These include Bristol, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Alliance Homes procured the framework for the benefit of all CSA members and it expects the resulting works to have a positive impact in terms of energy efficiency and reduced carbon emissions.

Responding to the news, which follows similar wins in Norfolk and the Midlands, Sustainable Building Services’ Business Development Director Robin Evans said: “We’re very pleased to have won a place on this framework and proud that we’ll be helping to address many of the social problems associated with fuel poverty. At a time of sharply rising energy costs, Alliance Homes will be using ECO funding opportunities to reduce the impact on its residents and, for our part, we’ll be doing all we can to maximise the benefits in terms of cost savings and improved quality of life.”
