Denbighshire County Council has appointed SBS to carry out a £1.3 million scheme involving the refurbishment of 92 occupied properties in Corwen, Ruthin and Rhyl.
The scheme was directly procured by the council and is scheduled to run until February 2017. The work will entail roof repairs and applying new render. It will also require the extension and shrouding of power cables and phone lines to the various properties.
SBS already has a strong presence in North Wales and has an established local workforce and supply chain. In preparation for this scheme, however, it has also created new local depots and offices and is recruiting new resident liaison officers. The chosen RLOs will be bilingual - speaking both Welsh and English - and all documentation and literature for the scheme will be produced in both languages.
