Sustainable Building Services (UK) Limited has received confirmation that it has been appointed to the Efficiency East Midlands framework for the insulation of solid wall properties.
The procurement consortium has appointed a total of six contractors to undertake a mixture of internal and external wall insulation projects and the total value of the framework could be as much as £195 million over four years.
Sustainable Building Services won its place on the framework through the OJEU tender scheme run by the European Union and it will now be able to install a variety of energy-saving insulation systems in properties managed by EEM’s 20 formal members, together with other housing providers in the region.
It is estimated that as many as 100,000 residential properties could benefit from solid wall insulation systems across the East Midlands so Sustainable Building Services and the other major installers will be working closely with the client to identify potential efficiency savings and thereby to treat as many as possible over the period of the framework.
The buildings are likely to include a mix of low and high rise properties and the first projects are expected to be commissioned later this month.
The project will be managed from the company’s offices in Leicestershire.
