In July 2014, Sustainable Building Services (UK) received confirmation that it had once again been awarded the Investors in People Standard - an achievement that demonstrates the company's continuing commitment to realising the potential of its employees.
Investors in People is the UK's leading accreditation body for business improvement through people management and it provides resources that help companies to innovate, improve and grow.
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “Achieving this standard is something that any organisation should be proud of. Working with Investors in People inspires and enables managers and employees at all levels to build their skills, improve their performance and achieve their potential. We’d like to congratulate Sustainable Building Services (UK) on its achievement.”
Steve Burrows, Managing Director of Investors in People North of England said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Sustainable Building Services and I would like to congratulate the team on its success. We believe that good people make a great business and, as a proven organisational development framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations to enhance their performance. Having achieved the standard for another year, Sustainable Building Services is certainly working to realise its people potential.”
Commenting on the award, Sustainable Building Services managing director Gary Lawson said: "We take the skills, training and development of our staff very seriously and we go to considerable lengths to make sure that we're creating new opportunities for the next generation of workers. I'm very pleased that this effort has once again been recognised by Investors in People because the standard provides a clear, independent endorsement of the company's collective efforts."
The Investors in People Standard is subject to regular review and Sustainable Group (UK) has retained the award since it first applied in 2008.
